About the role
Halal Certification Services USA, Inc. is a leading U.S. based certification body providing end-to-end halal auditing, training and advisory services. We assist businesses in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries in navigating the global halal market with integrity and efficiency.
The Shariah Auditor will work alongside the technical auditor to ensure that all aspects of production align strictly with Islamic jurisprudence. You will evaluate the ethical and religious compliance of processes, providing expert oversight on Islamic dietary laws and ensuring that Tayyib (purity) is maintained throughout the supply chain.
What you will do
- Evaluate documents and conduct on-site inspections to verify that ingredients, manufacturing methods and logistics adhere to Shariah principles.
- Apply deep knowledge of Fiqh (jurisprudence), Hadith and Quranic principles to resolve complex certification questions.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure scientific processes do not conflict with religious standards.
What we are looking for
- Currently residing in the United States as a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Islamic Studies, Shariah Law (Fiqh), Hadith Sciences, or Arabic Language & Islamic Literature.
- Deep expertise in Islamic dietary laws and Halal/Haram distinctions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply classical Fiqh to modern industrial contexts.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel locally for on-site audits.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.
